Three things to know before class
A quick primer so you hit the ground running in your live PulseReady session.
Push hard, push fast
Effective compressions are at least 2 inches deep for adults, at a rate of 100–120 per minute. Singing "Stayin' Alive" in your head keeps the rhythm right.
AEDs talk you through it
Modern AEDs give clear voice instructions. Your job is to turn it on, follow along, and keep everyone clear when it says to shock. You don't need to memorize much.
Call 911 first
If someone collapses, call 911 (or have someone else call) before starting CPR. Dispatchers can guide you in real time until help arrives — you're not alone.
